Privacy notice

Last updated 20 October 2026

This notice covers bbdataservices.com and what happens when you contact BB Data Services or work with us. Glow Up has its own notice for its application form: Glow Up privacy notice.

Who we are

BB Data Services Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16567785. Registered office: 1 Cedar Office Park, Cobham Road, Wimborne, BH21 7SB. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: brian@bbdataservices.com or +44 (0)131 560 6887.

What we collect

  • Browsing this site: nothing is collected by us. The site has no contact form, sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The "Ask the data" box works inside your browser; what you type is not sent to us.
  • If you email or call us: your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
  • If you book a call: TidyCal collects your name, email address and booking details and passes them to us.
  • If you become a client: business contact details and the records needed for contracts and invoicing.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to arrange and hold calls, and to deliver and invoice our work. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests (answering a business enquiry you started), contract (work we do for you) and legal obligation (keeping accounting records). We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking.

Who else handles it

Only the services that run our business: Microsoft 365 for email, TidyCal for bookings and Namecheap for website hosting (which, like any web host, keeps server logs with IP addresses for security). Some of these may process data outside the UK under their standard safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. Client records: for as long as UK law requires us to keep accounting records. You can ask us to delete enquiry data sooner.

Other sites and fonts

Fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when it sends them. Links to LinkedIn, YouTube, podcast platforms, North Figure and Outlast Ads take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email brian@bbdataservices.com. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
